Wedding Planning in 2023
A race against time.
A race against time.
It’s a new year and 365 days of wedding planning excitement ahead of us!
The last 2 years have been an absolute whirlwind of fun, learning, and nail-biting moments here at Pryme Tyme. When we finally were given the green light to get back to being fully operational, the flood gates literally opened with HUNDREDS of couples that wanted to get married and they wanted it NOW! This taught us a very important lesson. It’s time to bulk up on service and staff to accommodate this new rush of weddings coming in.
We brought on a few crew members to help with logistics and setup to make our company more efficient to be able to better compliment the staffing challenges that foodservice was experiencing at many wedding venues in CT. We also had a journey in talent acquisition and added 2 more DJs to the roster. Full steam ahead is where we were from 2021 until today and there’s no sign of slowing down.
As it is with many businesses, we have to evolve over time. With technology being a strong and vital part of our daily lives, paired with the luxury of “on demand” purchasing from places like amazon, netflix, and more… We asked ourselves (and our clients) what can we do better to help with the wedding planning process? One things for certain, the days of parents having a major stake in weddings are becoming quickly a thing of the past. Young couples are graduating college, purchasing their first homes, jumpstarting their careers, and last but not least, planning their wedding. Time is the ultimate luxury. So what does that mean for the future of wedding planning?
In order for us to remain competitive, we implemented automation and user friendly self-service platforms and changed how we help our couples. Today’s engaged couples aren’t looking to go to a bridal show and mingle with wedding vendors. Followed by setting up in person appointments. Having to bargain and haggle over prices. Only to end up back at an office to sign paperwork. Gasoline is expensive, the 8 hour work day is now approaching 12 hours on average (with commuting). We’re simply running out of hours in a day.
Our website tells you everything you need to know about working with us. From the vibe we create to the level of service you can expect. The wedding planning timeline has gotten massively shorter. So to help with that, as soon as you fill out the request for information form on our site, you’ll get an email back within minutes complete with pricing and packages so that you can make an informed decision when it comes to your budget. Following that email, you’ll be asked to set up an appointment to help answer any questions you might have. And finally, if you decide you want to book your date with us, contract signing, payments, song requests, and your wedding timeline are all done on our proprietary online client platform.
Because you’re super busy with life, we send you helpful emails up until the day of your wedding to help you stay on track with everything that needs to be done. But don’t worry about getting spammed or constant messages. We hate spam too! Of course we can custom tailor your planning and wedding experience according to your needs, but for the most part, it’s a self-guided process that you can enjoy on YOUR time when it’s convenient for YOU! But not to worry, we’re still here to help you with anything you need. The automatingWe’ve even gone ahead and added a guest request link so that your guests can take part in creating the perfect soundtrack for your special day. Appointments are scheduled at your convenience using our online appointment scheduler which is fast and easy to use.
With all of these great tools at your disposal, we aim to be the most fun and stress free part of your wedding day.
Of course, with evolution, there are challenges. One of the things that we’ve been trying to navigate is the shortening of booking time to the wedding date. Years ago, the average timespan between first contact and the event was 2 years. Then it was a year and a half. And now, it is hard to track because we’re getting couples that are planning a few years to a few weeks out. But that’s the beauty of automation and convenience. You set the schedule. You set the pace. And everything is done for you.
